RV rental in Santa Rosa

An RV rental in Santa Rosa CA is one of our most popular locations in California where people rent motorhomes. The city is located in North California, so it’s characterized by more seasonal weather and a generally friendlier disposition and neighborly demeanor of inhabitants. Founded in 1867, Santa Rosa has seen a major boost in growth since WW2 mushrooming into a population of 174,000 today. People who rent RVs often are surprised by the Spanish/Mexican influence in its architecture.

Santa Rosa, CA

Santa Rosa was featured in popular culture long before RV rentals were a thing. It was the setting for Alfred Hitchcock’s “Shadow of Doubt” for example back when movies were still in black and white casting a particular light on the town’s public square (note: parking of the RV rental in Santa Rosa's public square not allowed.) Today you can still see historical areas such as the Luther Burbank home and gardens, the Charles M. Schulz museum & research center and the Sonoma County Museum.

If you wish to see more more California wildlife, then check out Spring Lake Regional Park, the Annadel State Park and all the wineries in the surrounding areas. Either way chances are you’ll cross mountain lions, foxes, deer and wild turkeys while you drive around the city with your very own RV rental in Santa Rosa. On that note, the Spring Lake Regional Park has a lot of history. Apart from being a very serene area to camp out and go Rving, it was the setting for multiple demonstrations in both the 19th and 20th centuries.

The architecture is absolutely spectacular and will have you wishing your RV was actually a full time permanent residence in the beautiful north Californian city.

Parking your RV Rentals and hooking up

There are a lot of parks to choose from so make sure you know your options prior to booking a place to rest your RV rental in Santa Rosa.

  • Sonoma County Fairgrounds has the best reputation by far. It is clean and with very friendly staff. They also have good Wi-Fi connectivity. Some people have noted however that it looks like a parking lot, void of any character and not the greatest place for your RV rental in Santa Rosa.
  • Plaza Mobile Home is not the most avant-garde RV park. For one they do not have a website, so if you wish to contact them you’ll have to use the phone. There also has been multiple mentions of cleanliness being an issue.
  • Rancho Santa Rosa is also an option to clear your grey water tanks and spend a restful night with an abundance of electrical supply. The setting looks like the most beautiful of all three.

The Product

After you’ve filtered your campervan search by destination, you can further narrow your selection by type of RV, number of seats, number of sleeping areas or special features. For example, some people want to go RVing with their pets and others would prefer a solar panel on the roof of the rental. Just enter your specifications in the optional fields and we’ll make sure you find what you’re looking for. Through Campanda, you’ll also be able to make multiple inquiries to different vehicles at the same time. This will give a wider selection not only in vehicles but also in terms and conditions as you will probably be dealing with more than one dealer at a time.

Types of RVs

Campanda offers many different options, so you'll find a unique RV rental in Santa Rosa. Our most popular one is the C Class RV. It drives a lot like a large pickup truck and consumes moderately less than its bigger cousins. You also just need your normal driver’s license to operate it, no matter which state issued it. Next are the slightly larger, more comfortable, more spacious A & B Class RVs. You can check to see if you need a CDL to operate it, in fact you really should. Some states won’t permit you to drive motorhome rentals of a certain size with your standard license.

Next are trailers, these gentle giants won’t tow themselves in Santa Rosa, you’ll need a strong V8 to drag your home away from home. The upside is that you drive your own vehicle. The vehicle you’re comfortable with. It also means you won’t be confined to mileage restrictions or packages. Finally don’t overlook the humble conversion van rentals. They come in different sizes and usually have a tiny kitchenette elements and a small fresh water supply, but they make up for those shortcomings with an efficient, streamlined engine. They also typically expand upwards or outwards with expandable e.
