Process FAQ

[su_accordion] [su_spoiler title=”What’s the rundown – how does it work?”]

Campanada brings together RV and trailer owners with parties interested in renting them. For you, the RV owner, there are two main processes: Creating an account and responding to interested parties.

Creating your account
  • 1. Go to the sign-up page.
  • 2. Enter basic information about your RV. This includes the make, model, year, how many seating places and how many sleeping places.
  • 3. Enter your address.
  • 4. Enter your contact information.
  • 5. An account manager will then contact you and help upload images of your RV and get your bank account information.
Managing inquiries and demand for your vehicle
  • 1. When someone is interested in your RV, he’ll submit an inquiry to you with the dates and some personal information about himself. Any questions the client might have will be attached to that ask.
  • 2. Once you receive an inquiry you can do one of three things. Accept, reject, or message him further. On Campanda, we encourage as much communication between the owner and the renter so that all terms and conditions of the rental and retrieval of the vehicle is a as clear and efficient as possible.
  • 3. When and if the transaction takes place, the booking will be confirmed. You will receive a confirmation email and your vehicle won’t be available for rent on the agreed upon dates.
Other processes include managing the availability of your RV, setting up extra amenities for extra cost and editing information about your RV such as price per night, mileage options or changing the pictures. [/su_spoiler] [su_spoiler title=”Do I always need to accept inquiries made about my vehicle?”]No, you only accept the offers you want and you can reject as many offers as you see fit. You’re in complete control.[/su_spoiler] [su_spoiler title=”What changes hands when I rent out my RV?”]The rental agreement, a copy of the renter’s driver’s license, the deposit, the keys to the RV, additional contact information and proof of insurance. We will provide you with the Campanda rental agreement when you sign up.[/su_spoiler] [su_spoiler title=”How do I charge renters that left the RV dirty?”]

You will physically hold the deposit. So you’ll be in charge of assessing and charging renters for their shortcomings. We do suggest however that upon giving the renter the keys to the RV that you also give them a list of how they will be charged in clean up fees. So for example you can have separate charges for returning a full black water tank and another one for leaving the RV with dirty floors.

You can also set up a cleaning fee for the clients to book in advance. This will provide you peace of mind for you and the client.

[/su_spoiler] [su_spoiler title=”What happens in case of an emergency once the renter has my RV?”]Depending on the situation and your instructions, the renter can do a number of things. He can contact you, us or the insurance company provided to him.[/su_spoiler] [su_spoiler title=”What if the renter has never driven an RV?”]This is sometimes the case, not everybody has driven an RV before. We advise all RV owners to show the renters all aspects of – and how to drive – the RV prior to the renter’s departure regardless. We will also have a renter’s guide about an RV’s main components and a guide on how to drive large vehicles safely soon.[/su_spoiler] [su_spoiler title=”What if I disagree about the damages with the renter?”]Deducting damages from the deposit is completely up to you as long as it is reasonable and not extremely excessive. For damages exceeding the deposit amount, the insurance company will assess and compensate you within a reasonable time frame.[/su_spoiler] [su_spoiler title=”How does the review system work?”]Like most services out there, You will get to accumulate reviews as you rent out your RV. The renter will award you a rating out of 5 and will have a space to add more details about his/her experience. You will also get a chance to respond to that review. Currently you can not review the renter, but we are working to integrate this feature in early 2017.
